  • Carmo Church & Convent Ruins

    The largest church in Lisbon before it was destroyed by the 1755 earthquake, the Carmo Church and Convent remain a magnificent example of Gothic architecture. Among the ruins you will find a small archaeological museum, a collection of tombs and a diverse array of statues, ceramics, and mosaics.
